Robert Lerche — has over 30 years of experience in software development. He has managed software development projects, designed and implemented complex systems, and debugged both hardware and software in a wide variety of environments, ranging from embedded microprocessor systems to mainframes. Robert has been responsible for all aspects of the development process, from planning and design through implementation and test to release and customer support.

He has extensive experience in measuring the performance of computer systems, starting with IBM mainframe systems in the early 1970's, when was responsible for measuring and enhancing the performance of the paging and dispatching areas of a custom operating system (VP/CSS) and project leader for Amdahl's software product, VM/PE, a major performance enhancement to IBM's VM/370 operating system. More recently, he led a team of MSB Associates engineers in implementing a high-performance, fault-tolerant billing system based on netflow data emitted by Cisco routers (25 gigabytes per day in the busiest of 5 international data centers).
