Jim Lawson — Jim's main areas of expertise are digital audio and real time systems, fields he has been involved with since the early 1970's. He has been developing UNIX system and application software and providing UNIX system administration support since 1981. Since 1995, he has written high performance email handling solutions, created filter drivers for Windows/NT and Windows 2000, and has created and administered databases and web sites. He was involved in the initial ports of Unix V7 to the Motorola 68000 processor at Lucasfilm, Ltd. in the early 1980's, and has a screen credit for his role in implementing the Shading Language compiler component of Renderman at Pixar.
