James“Jim” Bergsten CISSP, CBCP, SCSA/P/E is a leader and key participant in start-up to midsized enterprises, with over 35 years' experience in hardware, software, storage, security, and networking on platforms ranging from imbedded systems through mainframes. He has designed and developed over ten commercial software/hardware packages. Jim is the sole inventor of twelve storage-related Patents and has written three realtime operating systems, a full TCP/IP stack, and numerous device drivers.

F. Randall “Randy” Farmer has been creating online community systems for over 30 years, co-inventing many basic structures for both virtual worlds and social software. His accomplishments include patents and numerous industry firsts (the first virtual world, the first avatars, and the first online marketplace). His book Building Reputation Systems with Bryce Glass was released in March 2010.

Nancy Frishberg focuses on the user's experience of products and services. She engages with users and customers with techniques from design games and ethnographic fieldwork through expert reviews and laboratory usability studies.

Jim Lawson's main areas of expertise are digital audio and real time systems. He has been developing UNIX system and application software and providing UNIX system administration support since 1981. Jim has a screen credit for his role in implementing the Shading Language compiler component of Renderman at Pixar.

Robert Lerche has managed software development projects, designed and implemented complex systems for over thirty years. Robert has been responsible for all aspects of the development process, from planning and design through implementation and test to release and customer support.
